Set ALL settings to what you see up there.
Password will be gal. Host will announce what the game-winning score will be.
The only thing that will change when setting up a table is "Minimum canastas required to meld out" and "Players cannot ever pick up the discard pile".
If a variation states "NO PICKING UP THE PILE", then set that option when setting a table.
Here are our variations, rules, and setups accordingly:
Regular Canasta
Normal rules. Draw 2, 2 canastas to go out.
1 Handed Quickie
Play ONE HAND of regular canasta, highest score wins after that hand. Draw 2, 2 canastas to go out.
3 Strikes
You MUST have EXACTLY THREE canastas to go out! Set for Draw 2, 2 canastas to go out, but REMEMBER YOU NEED EXACTLY THREE CANASTAS to go out.
Aces Cut
ACES ONLY on inital meld! All other melding on following turns. Draw 2, 2 canastas to go out.
Bachelor Party
J's and K's MUST BE MELDED before going out. Draw 2, 2 canastas to go out.
Bachelorette Party
Q's and A's MUST BE MELDED before going out. Draw 2, 2 canastas to go out.
Beat That
Whoever makes a canasta first, the opponent must make a canasta HIGHER than that. (Example: If opponent makes a canasta in 6's, you MUST make one in 7's or higher only! If the first canasta is in ACES, then NO OTHER canastas can be made!) All other regular rules apply. Draw 2, 1 canasta to go out.
Broken Mirror
Whatever your opponent melds, you can NOT! (Example: If opponent melds 8's first, you cannot meld them at all!) All other regular rules apply. Draw 2, 1 canasta to go out.
Cabin Fever
Keep ALL FACE CARDS (J,Q,K) in your hand until you go out! You can discard face cards if you wish, but DON'T MELD ANY FACE CARDS until you go out! Draw 2, 2 canastas to go out.
Canasta With A Twist
First player to to get a canasta wins the round! Draw 2, 2 canastas to go out.
Cherry 7up
You MUST meld 7's FIRST, and one of them MUST BE RED. Wild is allowed, but make SURE you have a red 7! Canasta's allowed in 7 to Ace ONLY! Draw 2, 2 canastas to go out.
Crazy 8's
The 8's work like the black 3's do: DO NOT meld 8's until you're going out, and cannot pick up the pile if opponent discards an 8. Draw 2, 2 canastas to go out.
Down in the Valley
Canastas in 3's to 7's ONLY! 8's to Aces are DISCARDS ONLY! NO picking up the pile! Draw 2, 1 canasta to go out.
Even Steven
Meld and canasta in EVEN CARDS ONLY! (4,6,8,10,Q,A) All other cards are DISCARDS! NO picking up the pile! Draw 2, 1 canasta to go out.
Gentlemen First
Kings MUST BE in initial meld! No kings, NO MELD! Draw 2, 2 canastas to go out.
High in the Sky
Meld and canasta 8's to Aces ONLY! 3's to 7's are solely DISCARDS. Also, CANNOT pickup the discard pile! Draw 2, 1 canasta to go out.
Ladies First
You MUST meld Queens FIRST! Wilds may be used, but no Queens, NO MELD! Draw 2, 2 Canastas to go out.
Mid-Evil
8's, 9's and 10's are DISCARDS ONLY! You can NOT pick up the pile. If you make a NATURAL canasta in Queens (without wilds that is), then it's an automatic win for the round. Draw 2, 1 canasta to go out. (Thanks to BEARCUB3570 for coming up with this one - it's awesome!)
Monopoly
You MUST MELD in each number (4 to Ace) BEFORE you can make a canasta! Draw 2, 1 canasta to go out.
Natural Start
NO WILDS in initial meld! Draw 2, 2 canastas to go out.
No Big Dogs
J,Q,K,A are DISCARDS ONLY! NO picking up of the pile! Draw 2, 1 canasta to go out.
No Freeze
NO FREEZING OF THE DECK (except for black 3's)! If the deck is frozen before first card is drawn, then play it out, but don't freeze it again! Draw 2, 2 canastas to go out.
No Men Allowed
You CANNOT meld OR canasta with J's or K's! Jokers may ONLY be used to FINISH A CANASTA, not as part of meld! Draw 2, 1 canasta to go out.
No No
You can meld anything, but NO picking up the pile, and NO going out! Draw 2, 2 canastas to go out.
No Royalty Canasta
NO CANASTAS in J,Q,K, or A! They CAN be melded, just don't make a canasta in those! Draw 2, 1 canasta to go out.
Odd Maude
Meld and canasta in ODD CARDS ONLY! (3,5,7,9,J,K) All other cards are DISCARDS! NO picking up the pile! Draw 2, 1 canasta to go out.
Royal Flush
Must have 10 to Ace melded BEFORE GOING OUT! Draw 2, 2 canastas to go out.
Sex on the Beach
NO CANASTAS until 6's and 9's have been melded! Draw 2, 2 canastas to go out.
Who in the World
This one will only be hosted by those that can "gift" bux. Host will choose the "who" and tell one other person in confidence. The FIRST PLAYER that beat the "who" gets 100 bonus bux! If the "who" wins the first game, then the "who" gets the 100 bonus bux! Draw 2, 2 canastas to go out.
Working 9-5
Canastas in 9's and 5's ONLY! Everything else you can meld. Draw 2, 1 canasta to go out.
